Brooks/Rust states: "Some collectors believe that the female voice portraying Aunt Nancy on early Uncle Josh Columbias is that of Ada Jones. However the records are labeled as by 'Mr. and Mrs. Cal Stewart,' and historian Jim Walsh established that it was Stewart's real-life wife, actress Rossini Waugh, who originated the role on record (Walsh Hobbies, Fe. 1951, p.24). In addition, aural comparison with later versions in which Jones did play the role suggest a different actress."
