An EDVR user notes, "This song is actually the Czech national anthem. It came from a Singspiel or operetta called Fidlovacka (1834) with text by famous Czech writer Josef Kajetan Tyl and music by famous Czech composer Frantisek Skroup. It asks "Where is my homeland?" and had achieved the status of a folksong long before becoming the national anthem sometime after 1918." |
