Laird: "Master XE31159 also exists in the form of an 'office' take. This is aurally different to the 'A' take, and is the earliest known example of an 'office' take. The practice of making additional takes designated 'office' seems to have continued into 1931, but it is not known why these additional takes were made or what purpose they served." |
