Victor ledgers note: "Phoned Kamble (of Curphy's) to go after Padre Rojas. Herrera was to do this, but on account of yesterday's disappointment, he cannot be depended upon. This date Padre returned to church late—could not find cab. (Herrera out for half hour for cab.) Three quarters of hour for lunch today. Had to put new cable on weight for the orchestra date this P.M. Booked: Sr. Luis Sandoval (Orchestra) for 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. then 8 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. for accommodation to orchestra. Herrera came around at 1 P.M. and told us that oches[tra] could not come. Conductor had trouble with his men, is the reason, he said. Burned broken blanks. Kamble arrived at lab. and told Herrera was wanted at office."
