Source(s): Victor ledgers.
Victor ledgers indicate that the recording was "personal," in this case, presumably made on commission for the Shubert organization. The recording is believed to provide audio effects for a Shubert production, "The adventurer," that was touring in the winter of 1927.
Ledgers show selections as "(1) Trumpets; (2) Orchestra; (3) Shouts; (4) Orchestra with shouts—14 people shouting." Ledgers also note: "Incidental music by Wachtel-Oemnm Orchestra."
