A note in EDVR vol. 1 provides the following information: An inspected copy of this record showed no take number (which usually indicates a take 1) and renumbering from A-880 to M-3484, which latter number still appears in the wax, but also the date of 8 July 1901. The announcement, which does not give Burt Shepard's name, is: "I am going to sing the old song 'Home sweet home,' which may not be the same 'Home sweet home' which you are familiar with, but those who are married may possibly recognize it." |
Also recorded as [PM-]880. |
