EDVR vol. 2: The Haydn (Hayden) Quartet version was used on 16105 until replaced by a new recording of the same selection by the Peerless Quartet, recorded 10/29/1918 (B-22299-2). However, both general and alphabetical catalogs, and thus presumably the record labels, continued to credit the Hayden Quartet as the artists through 1925, when the record was dropped from the catalogs. |
