Wile: "Sängerfest. Recordings made at New Haven, Conn N1088-N1106 inclusive. . . . N1096 to N1106 were sung by various groups as a concert, and not in competition, on 9/1/192[9]. Some of the selections were accompanied by the New Haven Symphony Orchestra. Recordings were made in Hall where 'Sangerfest' was held—and not specially prepared for recording purposes. Recordings made as each selection on program was rendered."
